I've been seeing some character adoptables here and there - folks designing characters specifically for the purpose of selling to other folks who might give them a good home. Sometimes this is sort of necessity, when an artist is low on money and has to part, regrettably, with characters they'd designed some time prior just to stay afloat. Other times, it's a custom thing specifically for sale, with the idea being that it gives people who might otherwise have a hard time designing their own character get a good one.
So I'm curious - would anyone who watches me be interested if I made an adoptable or two? I'm not sure if I want to do it as an auction or make it a new commission type, would rather depend on the level of interest. Any thoughts?
