How To Go About Posting?

by
So I am wondering how I should go about posting on here. I am thinking to start with my oldest pictures but... I dunno. Got quite a few pictures to be posting up. I haven't looked much into the site yet but is there some migration kind of thing? Like copy my posts from SoFurry and move onto here or something like that? Would save a lot of time and trouble.

Anyway for anyone looking at this, any suggestions to how I should go about posting? Start with old and to new or just post the more recent pictures I have done? Also I dunno about posting sketches and all that if there is no other area like scraps to put them in, I like for all my color pictures to be together and not clutter with sketches.

There is a bulk upload tool. I have enabled it on your account. However, it will only handle the picture uploading - you still have to transfer over your title/description/keywords/rating.

I have something in the works for this, program-wise, but I'm afraid it's not likely to be ready anytime soon. :-/

You can make a pool for your sketches if you wish, and other pools for finished work. Just add them to a piece by clicking "edit pools" at the top.

That is nice. I may look into that. I suppose it saves the trouble of having to search and upload 1 by 1... now I would just need to gather all my art together in a zip and all that sort. I will get to doing all this... eventually, dunno when, feel lazy.

You could make zip files for each pool you wanna make.

Oh. Well I uploaded the zip file already and am barely now making pools... hope I am doing it right.

You can assign submissions to pools at any point, via the owner options in the submission view. You can also assign submissions to multiple pools, such as "scrap", and "Pokémon", for example. In a sense you can use the pools similar to tagging.

Ah cool. I was gonna just put them into one folder each but to have a submission in both 1st Generation and Pokemon is pretty nice.

Yeah, I love the options you have here. You can also put multiple pictures in one submission, if you have the sketch, ink, colored, or variation version, you'd like to show. Instead of individual submissions. You can also later add, say, a colored version to a previous submission, and your watchers get informed of that, if you choose so.

Wow pretty cool. I was unaware of that. Now I know I can put the sketch versions within the same picture then rather than it separate. Think I might put a for fun version as well where it is just the coloring and no inking which can look neat at times even if it is hard to tell what is what at times.

There's probably also quite some magic you could perform with the API, and scripts. Though, I really have no clue how those things work. I think Wolfblade used a script to publish submissions, while he was on vacation with no internet. Importing stuff from FA, or sofurry would work with those scripts too, I suppose.
