This week a real drama with my computer started when my computer started to turn off with no apparent reason, so I asked the internet for help in my tumblr blog and after some analysis I discovered that my GPU could have problems.
At first I thought that the problem was just a cleaning issue, since it was a while since I have cleaned it, so I brought my pc to the teches, then they cleaned it good.
but even before to clean it, we noticed that the fan of the gpu was already not working, after cleaning it, the fan started working again, I came back home happy thinking that the problems was solved, how innocent I was.
After a few seconds using the pc, the monitor went black again. Before bringing it to the techs, I was monitoring the temperature of my pc and the only device that was overheating since this problem started was the GPU, sometimes it jump from 55c to 90c and at this tempeture the monitor went black. So I noticed that my gpu was breathing its last breath, to be sure, I brought it again to the techs and after a test, what I was afraid of just turned true: my gpu was dead.
The drama with my computer has ended with the death of my gpu.
I was already thinking it already had problem since it was the only device that was overheating even with no apparent reason and yesterday it had its last breath.
R.I.P Gtx 550 it, you served me bravely for years, Thank you so much.
Now, I’m using my pc with no Graphic Card, I’m happy that it had an on board graphics, so I can keep using my pc for work.
