I don't think I'd care much if they just did what Weasyl did and remove the image with a note to me saying why. Instead I get banned until 2017 with a note saying if it happens again the ban is permanent. That's WAY too harsh.

I assume you mean the bunny bits pic, since the Daxter one actually has more v/f total but its not nude..
Anyway, ironic isn't it? Don't many of those adult characters from Zootopia look younger than that?
Reminds me, they once bawleeted one of my pics even though there was no lewd actions nor privates shown, makes me wonder if it was automated since it was tagged cub despite SFW.

Yeah seriously. I have multiple pics of Iota, whose body type is totally childlike and he's legitimately like a few years old (though he falls into the 'ageless' category where he's basically mentally an adult from the day he was created, and his body never grows older) and he's doing all sorts of raunchy stuff. Are they gonna retroactively go into my gallery and delete all my "maybe cub-ish" pics and end up banning me?

Cuckoneer never deserved to be the admin of FA in first place, a good example is the mass password stealing, the fact that his stupid ex-wife only got a place on the administration to leech the funds of the site, SJW's.

The site should be nuked enterely after so many trainwrecks

I don't know why people still use FA. There's been so much legitimate awful drama surrounding what they do there. A million reasons to never use that site or support what they've done to their own staff and users.

The only reason Libra and I still use it is because there's not enough business on the other sites. It's one of those unfortunate things, like Walmart, where you hate it but you have to use it because it's the only thing big enough, a self perpetuating cycle of mediocrity and bullshit. :(

Maybe I'm blind but I couldn't find any pictures of this "Iota" character here. ^^;

Still sucks that happened, I'd try to email 'neer and see if he can understand that it was a simple mistake and pretty much the worst thing they could do on your birthday. Sounds like one of their weird anonymous admins who apparently have no culpability for their actions got a bit trigger happy.

Yeah, the only reason I still have an account on there is because some of my friends are, otherwise I'd say: "screw them" in a heartbeat, because there are far better sites as far as I'm concerned. Having a page here on Inkbunny as well as SoFurry, Pixiv and even a space over at LavaDomeFive to post the stuff Furaffinity as well as Furry Network are allergic of. People often ask me in PMs why I censor some of the pics I post on my account which only goes to show just how uninformed some people are of FA's limitations.

I'm sorry to hear that this happened to you buddy, especially on your birthday but I'd still like to wish you a Happy belated birthday regardless of what happened.

Yeah, seems a lot of people just aren't aware of it. I woudn't care much if FA just did what Weasyl did and remove the image and tell me why. But they instead treat me like a criminal, with no warning. I don't know why this is treated as a standard in the fandom. FA banned cub as the result of a survey where they asked site members if they wanted cub on FA. How many people voted 'no' just because the site is stuck decades in the past and has no blacklist feature so people can decide for themselves what they don't want to see? If they put up similar votes for whether to allow humans, non-consensual sexual material, or very niche fetishes like farts, armpits, guro/snuff, diapers, etc. How much of the fandom would they throw straight under the bus just to protect their own sensibilities or try to distance themselves from fetishes they personally consider unsavory?

With cub, the line is so blurred it might as well not exist, so it's awful to be an artist like me trying to post adult material sometimes, just because my style generally looks cub-ish. Who decides what "looks" too cub-like, and why is their word the end-all be-all that dooms my account without warning?

It seems that shoot first, ask questions later seems to be the motto of certain admins. Worst case, they could have just block the artwork and send a notice for clarification, but jumping to punishment on the first moment is very unfair. Especially since there could be some misunderstanding.

I told a friend and he was surprised to hear this happened to me, since apparently it's not just me. Several others were hit by this sort of thing recently. And it's totally unfair, apparently, since they were banning multiple people for 'monster kid' porn (the no-armed lizard kid from Undertale, whose name explicitly states he's a cub? Search "monster_kid" on FA and you'll see plenty of cub porn being allowed to stay up) but when someone directly sent a ticket to the admins about a certain popufur putting up clearly adolescent-looking porn of this character after others got banned for it, they hand-waved it away. No decent explanation as to why, just them clearly picking and choosing who they want to tactical nuke over perceived 'cub' porn and when they want to ignore rampant cases of undeniable cub porn.

Seems not even the staff can make up their minds about this, and in this case it's over a rule that the site takes so seriously that if you break it once, you're automatically escalated up to 7 levels of warnings. Warning 8 is a perma-ban. And they treat this deadly-serious rule like a toy.

It seems like it's an issue with incompetence on failing to follow guidelines or they simply don't want to follow them.

I wouldn't be surprised some may have some sort of agenda or have double standards. It seems like it's hard to find unbiased and trustworthy people willing to help running the network, but I'm also not surprised by that if we consider the mess.

Well how about this, when it comes up, just post a journal to follow you elsewhere because thats complete bs. Its one of the reasons why I dont like the site. Hope you can get it fixed, if not just forgetaboutit.
