TL:DR - Commissions not coming, doing more YCH audition-style things instead. I'm taking a porn fast until I move in a few weeks.
I'm sure many of you have some questions due to my recent postings , so I figured I'd put up a journal letting you all know how I'm feeling and what's going on.
First, no, I'm not going to be opening up commissions again in the immediate future. The time I have to devote to them is just not worth the money gain, so doing art I like is much more important to me. I will, however, be doing things much like my recent YCH Audition (https://inkbunny.net/submissionview.php?id=1208767), so that way I can choose things I like and still interact with customers!
Auditions? How do they work? Moreless, I want art that I like, right? But I cant just go around drawing my own characters over and over, and sometimes I dont have the right fit for a scene. This is where Audition-type requests come in! If you haven't read through this first (successful) audition, here's how it works: I draw up a sketch of a concept for a picture that I want to do (or might just write a description in a journal), then you guys just send character references (That you have rights to) and a short bit about why they'd be good (or just something silly). Then, I'll note whomever I pick that they won and share some in-progress bits with them until I post the final up! I may do these as a raffle at some point, but I AM human, so I DO have preferences, and may deny many characters that I deem too silly/off-topic. It never hurts to try though, so enter yourself up and you might be surprised!
As for my current status, I'm current looking at a few weeks staying at a temporary place between houses, so I'll most likely be quite silent during most of November, so expect that. I'm also issuing myself a bit of a personal challenge from now until then (Which I'm already cheating at). I want to totally deny myself wasting hours a night looking through furry sites and RPing and shit until I move. I found an addon to only let me view certain sites for 10 minutes a night, which will help. I have allowed myself to look through my inbox in full if I post up a picture, for extra incentive. We'll see how this affects my outlook on stuff if I can manage!
