I’m sorry for the lack of progress the last two weeks. Work has been requiring a lot overtime and I was just too exhausted to write when I get home. And I really wanted to write all week. Thankfully I should be back to my regular hours now so I can get back to it!
I’m still working out the structure for Camp CrinkleButt and am starting to plan how the characters will interact. This should be the next story posted but it will miss the initial target date of Oct 10th. You should start to see some teaser material later this week.
This week my writing class had its first taste of what I write. As an assignment we were given 3 words and asked to create a character based on them. Then write a 150 word paragraph describing them. My words were Chloe, Senior and Cat. Of course my furry mind couldn’t have a senior with a cat, she had to be the cat. Here is how I described Chloe. The reaction when I got to the tail was priceless.
Chloe peered over the railing at her staff below. Everyone was busy preparing themselves for tonight’s guests. She prided herself on having a match for almost anyone’s tastes. She had been in the business all her life and had learned to read her clients desires, even the ones they dared not reveal. She had built an empire in Polestar City, as its most respected and feared Madam. At nearly 70 she could not match the physical beauty of those she employed, but her body was lithe and her emerald evening gown accentuated all the right curves. Once you got past physical beauty the young ones were no match for her elegance and sly seductive charms. Still she was aging and the time would soon come to pass the baton to the next generation. Which of them would it be? The end of her tail twitched as she pondered her options, a tell she had never quite managed to eliminate. The Snow Leopard turned from the railing and descended the steps to the foyer below, it was time to open for business.
