The Reason for my Halt in Art Production

Well, my new tablet is awesome. Its fun to use and cool. But there is one MAJOR problem. It doesn't work properly sometimes. I have been working with the customer support to try and fix this problem but nothing has worked so far. Yes I have restarted my computer. Yes, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the tablet programs. I even got a patch from customer support and that still hasn't worked even after installing and reinstalling. Im awaiting further possibilities to come about fixing this issue but as it stands all art production will be halted. At least that on the computer.

For any who are interested here's the problem:

*IMPORTANT* I'm working with PAINT SHOP PRO not Photoshop.
So I start up Paint Shop Pro and the tablet works just fine. But if any other window comes up, or I click on anything else, the pen stops registering brush stroked. If i have a 5 pt pen mark it will go down to a 3 pt pen mark (but the program is still at a 5pt). Then after 1-5 more strokes the pen refuses to make any more marks, but it can still click on things.

So I close the program and open it up again. (all other windows are closed too) and the pen still does not register brush marks.

From what I understand, I CAN use the tablet, BUT, I CAN'T have any other windows up or click on anything else. That is a big problem

For all of those who will say this, Yes I have considered ditching Paint Shop Pro for Photoshop CS5, but that is a LOT of money considering I just got the tablet AND a new high-tech laptop. So, its either spend the last of my money getting Photoshop or waiting this problem out and trying to fix it.

If anyone has some advice, OTHER THAN TELLING ME TO BUY ANOTHER DRAWING PROGRAM, please let me know.
