Woke up at 5 (not fun; body screaming for sleep since the day prior), freshened up, had a coffee, caught a cab to JFK at 6, had my bottled water and toothpaste confiscated, picked up a breakfast sammitch and another coffee at BK, took 2 connecting flights, arranged a free shuttle to Best Western, and proceeded to check in around 11:30.
DERP!
Card was declined, so I went across the hall to the ATM and withdrew money from 2 cards, ultimately overdrafting one of them (AGAIN!!). THEN the desk clerk tells me they can't accept cash until 3pm.

Clerk cancelled my online reservation, dispatching a shuttle driver taking me to the nearby Super 8. Finally checked in using cash, saving a few dollars in the process. Got in, unpacked and walked down to Denny's for a quick lunch, gave the waitress a $3 tip, returning with a piece of pumpkin pie for later.
They could've at least said that you couldn't pay by cash before you drew it out. O.O Anyhow, hope you have an awesome time, will be looking forward to hear of the events. ^-^
