Toby, Mira and I got there Thursday night, after a drive that felt like eternity (about 13 hours, part of which was spent behind a house being driven somewhere, and the majority of which was spent in a semi-truck forest).
I saw many others, too, but my memory is awful, bleagh.
Spent a fair amount of time in Artist's Alley, and sold quite a few commissions! I'm still utterly flattered that people want to pay money for my art. It makes me really happy~
I went to Uncle Kage's panel, and was able to buy him a drink afterward, which is something I've always wanted to do as a thanks for his amazing stories. I thought he'd just take the drink and be all "Well thank you! I'm off to be Uncle Kage now." But instead he pulled me and my friend Pepper aside, and we sat by the fireplace thing by the bar, and then 2 Gryphon sat down with a bunch of other furs, and we all had a really awesome conversation. I even got to hear more Kage stories, and talked with him about Japan! Some of the people brought fancy cheese that was super delicious, and I got to try some of the wine I bought Uncle Kage. It was a German Reisling (sp?) from Mossel, I believe, and it was delicious. I want to try more of that. I also got to hear about how Kage's Story Hour started, which was neat. Then he kissed the back of my hand when I got up to leave, ha ha. So gentlemen-like.
After that... I talked with some pretty awesome artist's in the alley. Saw some great fursuits. Volunteered for an hour to check badges and got a T-shirt, then tried to volunteer more but plans kept popping up so I had to back out (which made me feel like a jerk).
I went to a room party on... Saturday night, I think, that was pretty interesting. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was actually pretty cool. I talked about linguistics with some furs, had delicious whipped cream flavoured vodka, oh and $600 were not lost that night, thank goodness.
I got really really drunk on Sunday night because I can't mix my own alcohol, so I had to turn in early. Gen really helped me out there, because I probably would have made it two steps out the door and then collapsed and vomited on myself if he hadn't been my living crutch. -------- Now I'm at my dad's house up in MI, after having just finished an interview in Toronto for teaching English in Japan. I'm not really sure how I think it went, but overall I know I did the best I could, and that's enough. I'll be heading back home to where I can draw the things I draw again soon (sometime Sunday night), so rest assured, my watchers.
Note - I'm not really able to get on the internet for the rest of the week, since I'm traveling and visiting family. So please, stop saying I disappeared and relax, everyone. I'll be back full Monday.

I'm glad you had a good time, hearing lovely things from friends who went. :-) By the way, you create a link to a profile on Inkbunny by putting an @ at the beginning of their username.
