Sorry for the total lateness...

For the nude pool party project >.<

Seriously i has been more than one month... I admit for the first week that I did nothing but researching good pool reference, designing the pool, imagining the pose and what stuff, then promised myself i will start sketching on the second week.

Then work caught up to me. I thought "Ah well, i will post some fillers until i got enough free time to focus on this project."

Then after two weeks i realized i will never get enough time to sketch em all in one go, i will sketch them one by one then combine them later.

Then my stupidly bad habit kicked in... I refused to accept anything below my standard. if it's not satisfying enough, not cute enough, not sexy enough, not cub enough... you got the idea

a few weeks later, here i am very very late for my promise of finishing this project within one month. Please slap me >.<

tl;dr Being a perfectionist sucks...

For the ones who signed to join in this project, please be a little more patient with me. I am truly truly truly sorry *bows down*

Each one of you will get one free commission after this project is done to make up for my super lateness, I promise >.<

This is my first big art project. And i intend to go through it to the end.

No rush, dude. Take your time. It's obvious you want it to turn out well so no pressure at all. It's not like anyone paid yet (or did they? I know I didn't yet).

And i am afraid that if i took to long, your interest in joining my project will wane and disappear >.<

Yeah, don't rush yourself, that makes it worse.
Probably best to not add more work like that too, like the promise to make more drawings as an apology.

But I know how that is.. been sitting on lots of halfway done drawings because I don't know how to correct a few parts, can't until something "clicks".
Though it is best to keep retrying stuff on occasion even if you don't feel like it, else can forget.
My problem is I keep forgetting to do these things that help XD

Oh, something that could help with the pool, you might need a slightly complex shape to allow various poses, like a half circle connected to a V shape or something, draw the shape from top view then use a perspective or skew to make look like a viewpoint, then it's easier to guess where the sides, edges & floor & stuff are.
Also might look more elegant to make it night with lots of local lights (helps make the BG easier to do too).

If I knew more about what you intended I could render a fast viewpoint example.

Haha, i know that rushing works only ended up in something sub par. But at the same time i don't want to take too long to finish what i promised. And at the same time i don't want to show someone else a sub par work nor that i can forgive myself for making it. These conflicting feelings always haunted me whenever i draw something >.<

That's actually a good option for the view. I am recently considering the angle for the picture, where we can see all the nudes and the pool at the same time. I think i will use your nude beach pic as reference.

Nothing wrong with wanting to make sure you turn out a high quality drawing that looks like one that you yourself would buy. Good things do take time, look at the Strawberry as an example, every one of them that we eat is the end result of at least a two year waiting period.
Not that I am saying it's going to take you two years to complete the project but I believe you'll understand the wisdom of the analogy. Yes, sometimes an artist's day job gets in the way too.
