Halloween

dunno I've never really like Halloween that much. Have never really had a good one since I was really little like 5 or so. Since my parents started taking me to this dumbass churchy alternative from Halloween. It was always so boring and wasn't really Halloween. And as I grew it just made not really like Halloween at all. I mean the dumbest part was going to school in your costume and hanging out with your friends. And of course when my parents sent me to private school none of us could were costumes because celebrating Halloween was "celebrating Satan". I don't even bother dressing up anymore since I have nowhere to go for fun on Halloween. So I just sit at home like it were anyother day occasionally giving candy to the passerby kid.

In conclusion I don't really like Halloween it's not the holiday for me.

Your parents were Evil. Celebrating Satan? The Holy Roman Empire were the ones who brought Hallowe'en from Ireland to England And the whole wide world! I mean, It's actually a Christian Holiday... I don't understand people sometimes. I'm sorry. Here's a Cyberhug. *HUG*

Christian holiday seems to be synonymous with "shit we stole from other cultures to make forced conversion less of a shock." Interestingly enough, they made All Saints Day the day after Hallowe'en for the same reason.

In the USA good old Samhain is more of a secular tradition anyways. Some of the pagan traditions still celebrate it as a holy day, but for most of us it's just a day for silly costumes, candy, and scary stuff in a controlled environment.

Samhain is not actually the name for Hallowe'en, I know some Irish, Samhain is the old Celtic Lord of the Dead, like Anubis for the Egyptians, and Oiche Shamhna is Hallowe'en. And I do agree with you. And actually "Christian Holiday" is a Synonym for "Shit we stole from other cultures to make forced conversion less of a shock".

Hallowe'en was nice. I got to push my cousin into a river.

Halloween is that one special night of the year where I put a padlock on my gate, turn off the porch light, and hope that the greedy little bratlings get the message that I'm not giving out candy.

Yes, I'm a Halloween Scrooge. Not because I have anything against the holiday, but because I just f'ing hate kids, and the last thing I want to do is give free candy to the same little shitheads who live around me who scratched up my car's paintjob, throw trash into my yard, and spend countless hours tormenting all the local dogs so that they never stop barking. And if I'm feeling especially vindictive this year, I might do what I did in years past, namely sitting at the window eating Halloween candy in sight of all the little brats who tug on my gate.

(As a kid, I liked Halloween just fine, but it was all about the candy, no real care about the dress-up.)

Being a wiccan myself I hate halloween. Every year I see people dressed as a "witch" and it makes me wanna walk around dressed as priest with a little boy doll's head glued to my crotch.

get dressed in a cotume and come to my house xD then halloween may contain some meaning to ya xP unrealistic demand but hey theres a bit of something to cheer ya up about everyone but you out getting freebie shit.
