So lemme tell you guys about MY weekend :V
So Friday, I got paid, but within 12 hours I spent almost all of it >.< I had to buy 2 new front tires for my car. They've been out of alignment so long it tore up the treads and they had to be replaced :/ I still need to get my alignment fixed, as well new brake pads, but I'm broke, so guess that's gonna have to wait until I get paid again. Hopefully it won't tear up my new tires in that time >.>
Saturday was my last day at Target after 2 years. It was super busy yesterday and wasn't a lot of fun. What pisses me off though is like nobody even acknowledged that I was leaving unless I said something. I mean, a few of my friends knew, and some of the team leads, but that was it. I didn't get a card or any special treatment or anything. Somebody bought a cake, but the bastards ate it all before I even got there >.< So I was just kinda thinking "Alright, fuck you too guys". I mean, you'd think after 2 years of hard work and dedication I'd get some kind of recognition or something, but I guess not. Oh well. Very happy to be done with that place.
So last night I didn't get home till around 10 or so, and had to immediately try to go to sleep. Didn't fall asleep till around midnight I think, and had to get up at 4:15 this morning for clinicals. Had to be there 5:45 till 2 x.x It was pretty crazy. Kinda overwhelming at first. The aids and nurses there aren't too friendly or helpful. We were split up to go feed residents, and instead of the lady showing me where stuff was supposed to go, or what to do, she just handed me a tray and had me sit down with this lady. I'm not sure what was wrong with her, I think she had severe dementia. But she was completely unresponsive, couldn't speak, couldn't open her eyes, had severe contractions in her arms and legs, and could barely move her head. So the aid just sits me down, puts the tray down, and says "By the way, you have to prompt her to swallow, or she'll forget."...and then just walks away and leaves me there >.> It was kinda scary. You couldn't tell if she'd had too much, or if she'd actually swallowed, and she drooled almost half of it down her chin. Ended up getting some on my scrubs >.> She kept making these noises, and it almost sounded like she was choking, but she was just wheezing. I think she had some sort of cold or something. But you couldn't ask her what she wanted or if she wanted something to drink, or if she'd swallowed or anything, because she couldn't respond. I'm not even sure how much she understood. It was like she was just asleep. Very weird way to start the day. After that had to make a whole bunch of beds, including one with a used diaper in it >.> Sooo many awful smells today lol
Then I had to feed someone else for lunch. She also had dementia, but still had some capability. But as I was getting her stuff out to feed her, she started to wheel herself away lol so I had to bring her wheelchair back and then start feeding her. It was frustrating though because she only wanted to eat the cornbread. I kept trying to get her to eat some of the turkey or mashed potatoes, or drink some of the milk, but she'd only take the cornbread lol and then after I finished with that, she tried to reach over and steal someone else's x3 I thought that part was kinda funny :P Eventually convinced her to take a few bites of turkey and mashed potatoes, but that was it. After that, made a few more beds, and we were assigned our patients for next week. Probably post another journal about that lol I've got some "great" ones >.>
As for the day, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be. It was kinda stressful, and I constantly felt like I was getting in the way, but that will probably be better next week. But next week I'll have my own patients too. Wish me luck x3
For a medical update, I'm getting my lumbar injection on Tuesday the first. I think I'm gonna be knocked out pretty much the rest of that day. Still nervous about it, but I'll be okay. Hopefully within a day or 2 I'll see some definite results :3
And the day after that I officially start training at my new job at Asbury's ^^ I've had 2 days of orientation already, and have my badge and all the other cool stuff, but I still have 2-3 days of training, then I start actual work :3 pretty excited about that ^^ Hell, after clinicals it'll be a breeze :P and I'll actually get paid x3
In other news, my 21st birthday is coming up! :O I'mma be 21 on November 16th. I keep getting family people ask me what I want for my birthday, but honestly, the only thing I really need is money x3 I need to buy new shoes, brake pads, an alignment check, and money for food and gas would be nice >.> I think I'mma ask for a massive bottle of Patrón though x3 I also keep getting people asking me what I wanna do for it. I can't decide :X I REALLY wanna party, but most local furs don't live that close or drink, and I only have a few other local friends. Might go bar hopping somewhere, but I dunno. So I guess my question is if hypothetically, if I had a party, would any local furs be interested? :P If nothing else I'll probably just drink with either my family or local friends. Might do 2 parties or something :P

But anyway, I know that was long-winded, but that's pretty much everything going on with me at the moment :P
