I was trying to use GIMP as well, and I couldn't seem to do what I wanted to >.<; granted I have no knowledge of how to use these programs, I am trying to teach myself, looking at tutorials, and reading the instructions and I can't seem to figure these things out. I just want to crop an image and place it on another without damaging or covering too much up of either image. But as soon as I did that, the image was clear and see through over the other. I'm confused and I just wish there was an easier way to learn these things.

I try stearing away from most digital means besides really easy to use ones like Open Canvas, or just a little of SAI without going to far into detail. It's hard for me to find a good tutorial on any where the person teaching doesn't either: stutter, or skip through something that doesn't seem easy but they believe it is.
