So let's just start off with the bad news. The World Ends With You. My favorite and most cherished game. Gone. I didn't lose it. It wasn't stolen or run through the wash either. No...I found it...melted. Yes, melted. I dunno what happened. I wanted to move it off of the bookshelf because I was gonna put the incense candle there. But...I couldn't move it. It wouldn't budge, til I finally pried it loose, just to see a black gunk under it. Somehow, the bottom half of the game...just melted onto the bookshelf. I'm still not 100% sure as to what the flip just happened to my game, but the only theory that I got is that over time, I have probably spilled some almond oil, since I burn that oil mixed in with lavender oil for some aromatherapy...but I guess some got onto the bookshelf, and...it ate away at the cartridge til it melted. I dunno if it even makes sense or not. All I know, the game...just somehow melted. x.x I feel bad because I cherished that game.
I AM back on my laptop again. But not as well as I wish it would be. In fact, today, I recognize how bad it really looks.
A USB port is busted, so I only have 2 to work with, which would normally be a problem, especially with how high-maintenence it is. And how bad is that? I have:
A 4 USB outlet plugged in
I'm doing all this, just trying to keep the bare minimums of this laptop going. I mean, sheesh, I already had to buy 2 replacement keyboards and 3 replacement plugs for it. Not to mention I also had to take out the bottom panel just to ensure the thing doesn't overheat constantly. Since the fan is weak and the heatsink is probably busted. x.x All in all, I know I need a new laptop. I have needed one for almost 4 years, but I've stil been maintaining it.
All for this: Acer Aspire 5315. Not that I have a huge problem with Acers. But after all that I've put up with this half-decade...I don't ever want to see one again. I mean...when you desire Windows 7, but forced to downgrade to a bare-bones XP Pro because your own laptop couldn't handle its default OS...that's a problem.
And yeah, found out too late....0.98 GB of RAM is not enough to run a Vista.
