I saw the Mexican animated feature film Un Gallo con Muchos Huevos this past weekend... surprised that it's considered kid-friendly fare in Mexico :) Definitely a lot of racy humor in it—when I was a kid, I thought the animated Transformers movie was pretty hardcore for getting a PG rating, but "Un Gallo" is PG-13 :) Deservedly so, seeing that one of the characters asks for a "massage with happy ending", and apparently gets one (off camera :) I only know a couple words of Spanish, and saw the English-subbed version; I'm sure there were other jokes that were lost or toned down in translation.
In any case, I like seeing foreign animation (especially furry foreign animation), and it was neat that this got a US theatrical release. I thought it was fun and enjoyable :)
Oh, I'm pretty sure many things would be lost in translation, the very title is a wordplay as it can mean either "a rooster with many eggs" or "a very ballsy rooster", the funny thing is, the franchise started as an adult animation web-series so I think it is expected to have a lot hidden (or not so much) adult humour in it.
(btw: Hi, your gorgeous icon brought me to your profile, and I noticed this journal about a film from my country, so here I am.)
