so...

I'm trying very hard to quit smoking. I've only recently started back in July but its still hard to quit. I was almost a pack a day smoker. And I know that thats not much compared to some people who go through three or four packs a day but still. Today is day one with out a cigarette and so far so good. I haven't had a strong craving for one -yet- but I know its coming. And at the same time I know that I can quit. I just have to put the pack down and not touch it again.

Simple right?

What my friend did was he would have one pack, and he put it in the freezer. So if he REALLY wanted a smoke, he'd have to wait for it to thaw a bit first, and by then the craving would pass. but the thought that if he "needed" one he'd have it, so it was a comfort.

That is a good idea. I mainly get the need at work when I get stressed but at home that would really help. Thanks for the idea. ^^
