'Nother Wild.621 update!

by
DOWNLOAD HERE

I just noticed that it wasn't doing pools properly. Had to use two different download methods depending on the site, but that shouldn't affect much at all.

Also corrected that blasted page naming thing that gives you a bold title on the links page.

And finally, I added a simple condition that you have to be on a page URL containing "/post" or "/pool/" for it to even start working. ^^ No more  false starts.

I thought about adding http://rule34.paheal.net support. But I bearly ever use that site. Anybody else use it? Any other good sites I could add? The idea of this app is mainly to download images from furry image sites. Also, there's no point in doing chan boards because DTA (downloadthemall) already gets links from those easily. I also want to code an image downloading utility for this site, but it will definately be different from Wild.621.

I do like the site, but I wish they had a way to block certain tags from appearing duirng my browsing, I miss out on images I want to see because they're in a pile of 200 ones I don't want to see (mostly the anime pics that have only a slight variation from the previous one and there's like 100 small changes to the same pic :/)

Ewww...yucky. Hmm.... OH! Solution!

On Wildcritters.net you can do:
-tag1
Search for posts that don't have tag1.

That cheat sheet has a slew of other neat options too! Try them out and see if you can't refine your search more ^^

I was refering more to Paheal in my post, I'd have to minus like 1000 tags in my search just to get to where I want, more or less I want to just be able to click an image and maybe select block this tag and have it saved serverside to never display that tag when I'm browsing through the new day's art. That way when I check what's new, I don't gotta surf 20 pages of crap to find maybe the 1-2 images I wanna save. I've suggested it before but they didn't listen. And their tag list is so massive it chokes my compy to where I can't just surf the tag list and click the ones I want to see.

Hmm. I think it's possible to make something like that in javascript for greasemonkey. Only real trouble would be that you'd have to add all the tags manually. But the basic idea would be:
to do a GetElementById()
then parse it's tag list for one that matches your block list
and give that element  style="display:none;" if it matches

But, I'm very very new to javascript atm ^///^ So I'm not sure if I could make anything very efficient atm.
It would be cool to have something where you could paste a giant block of tags, seperated by a new line and just have it read all that and remove all the elements that match any of them.

I use rule 34. DTA works on it anyways. :)

Thanks for the heads up!
I went ahead and tried anyway and got it working now. lol, if anything, this enables site rips much more easily.

Would it even be possible to get it to work with 34? The site seems to have trouble delivering one picture let alone a bunch of them reliably. I'm pretty sure that rule34's server is really just a large yam with a 56k phone line stabbed into it.

Yep! It works with it!  Since DTA aleady worked with it, that means the fill size links are already on the page. I had to do some extra coding because the HTML isn't the same at all. Hmm...this darn app needs a new name....
