I feel kinda silly gettin this overnight gig and then realizing that I'm just not cut out for it anymore. My lifestyle and such has just changed too much and I'm not not into night time work like I used to be. I stopped doing overnights 9 months ago... and returning to it makes me realize part of the reason I stopped. x_x
A big thing I realized is that the night time is when my inspiration and motivation to do art stuff comes to me. I tossed out a few other applications to a handful of morning/afternoon jobs. I'm kinda hoping I get a particular job near by since it's an art supply place.
This currant job isn't exactly bad, but I'm having a hard time gettin back into the swing. And even though I'm pushing myself pretty hard, it seems they expect more from me, as if I'm not moving fast enough... even though I've only been there 2 weeks. WELP. I already hurt myself one night tryin to push myself, and I slept for 12 hours after that night, and woke up super sore. x___x I'm not interested in making that a regular occurrence. Hell no.
I also realized over the last 9 months that I really love being able to focus primarily on my art, and it's important to me to be able to continue that. I just need a steady paycheck on the side to cover bills and I can continue arts and stuff just fine.
Other than that, I'm looking for other familiar part-time work in the area and I'm gonna continue to do my art stuff in the evenings once I land a new job. I'm at least going to ride out my currant job in the meantime and let them know what's up, because I don't wanna burn any bridges, of course.
So yeah, at least I'll be reopening for commission work after all that settles in.
Sorry I have a handful of you still waiting for art from me. Thanks for hangin in there. I'll be tossing updates to all of you soon. It's been a very busy couple of weeks.
