Backup

by
Some of you might have noticed the mass uploads I'm currently making.

Originally, I wanted to keep IB as some secondary account, but due to the recent developments on FA considering user&picture policy, I decided to bring both sides to equal level (before it's too late).

And since I already faced excessive FA downtime a few times just when I needed my gallery for reference reasons, it's good to have a backup.
And a backup with the ability to finally categorize submissions!

So, yeah, many pictures that I got over the years. Never realized they were so many *^.^*

IB is a lot better IMHO.

Well, it features image pools and the PM-function handles messages as threads. Very helpful. One step better would be listing them purely as threads, and not scattered all over one inbox.

In particular, the arbitrariness regarding what kind of art is banned and what is still allowed. Proclaiming the prohibition of so called "cub art" because it tangents an illegal status, but on the other hand not prohibiting pictures showing excess, nonconsensual violance, suggested rape, mental abuse through hypnotism ... - all those are 'illegal' too, yet allowed to be published.

It's the hypocrisy that bothers me. Of course, yes, it's a provate website and the owner's right to prohibit things as they like to, but, how can I then be sure my own submissions will still  be 'legal' in their eyes in two months?

I wrote this in some other place already: With the size FA has grown to, they should hire an attorney and let them decide what's definitely illegal and has to be removed. Because I honestly doubt fantasy art containing 'childish looking' characters is actually illegal - even by U.S. law.

And so, I'd better get myself a backup before some aspects shown in my pictures become 'illegal' by FA-law as well *^.^*

Ahh, I know what you're talking about now and I understand too. FA's decision to do everything they have so far is ass-backwards since things drawn as art with fiction characters as a fictional species isn't illegal. It's never been illegal to draw gore and other things either.

Art has more freedoms the FA is allowing now. I never really understood WHY they did what they did. I know what the said was the reason, but it wasn't a direct reason why. =/
