Let's be realistic. It limits audience of the game too much. The smaller the audience, the less are chances of artists being among the audience, the less are chances of porn artists being among those artists, and the less are chances of those porn artists being interested in drawing something based on the game.
SNES isn't terribly popular nowadays to start with, is it? And even people who like classic games tend to prefer games they know about. A game being unreleased and translated by fans doesn't increase its popularity.
