You may not believe this, but I’ve actually finished my next story!
Sort of.
I’ve gone over it and tweaked things enough that I’m kind of blind to problems and typos. It’s time to find some good proofreaders to help me polish my piece :3
There are pros and cons to proofreading. You get to see the story before anyone else, but you also see an imperfect version of it, full of errors and poorly-worded scenes. This stage is super necessary, though; I can only do so much on my own.
So, if you’re a good proofreader and don’t mind the above, I could use your help :3
Among other things, I need someone to help with these:
- typos
- poor word choice
- poor sentence flow
- spelling errors
- overused words and phrases
- botched or unconvincing dialog
- continuity errors
- poorly executed scenes
- things that can be cut or trimmed
- critique of content
- what works really well
- impressions, thoughts, hopes
