Anyone wanna play Pathfinder (bascially D&D) over stream?

I heard from a friend that he'd like to play but has no people near him to play with. And since I am currently working on a conversion (actually more of a re-write as the basis sucked) of the "Savage species" supplement from D&D to make the humanoid animals playable in Pathfinder.

And then I got the idea to play using my livestream account. The players all hook together with headsets and watch my channel. There I can draw maps of the dungeon and whatever is necessary for the RP.

I am not that experienced as a GM, but I should be able to make at least a starting adventure for the first levels to show you the rules and explain how everything works.

This way people that are new to the system or RP in general can get to know the system and when they got a grasp of the rules they can start their own group with friends (it is hard to start when nobody knows the rules well).

I dunno how this will all work out. Players would have to be honest with their rolls (unless everybody streams their table with a webcam) and there are many other tidbits that could be a problem when not being face to face. Also the big time differences might make it hard to find a good playtime.

But everybody that would like to get to know Pathfinder (as well as D&D 3.5 in the process) you are welcome. Also more experienced players are welcome of course. I am sure it will be an interesting experience. If there is more of this depends how the players accept it and how well it works.

So... if you are willing to try this, please reply to the journal so I can estimate how much interest there would be for it and I'll see if it is worth the effort. You can also ask questions of course ^^

Have you ever looked into an RPG called Ironclaw, It's 100% anthropomorphic beings. Not a human, elf, or dwarf in sight.

I have nothing against the three mentioned. And if I start as GM then I should know the system.

And the reason for me to do this is to show people Pathfinder the system.

It's not so much as liking or hating the big three or fantasy RPGs it just an interesting fact to mention, and I would love to play but there are three problems

A) I don't know the system well (if it works like D&D I would be good)
B) I don't know when you would plan to play
C) I am already in three games here (two D&D and one Mekton)

If you are not playing on Sunday (and the occasional Saturday) I might be able to join.

A) I wanna do this to show people the gaming system. Also it is very similar to D&D, but with a few alterations. The balanced the classes better and gave more options to customise and such. Also Half-Elf is now actually a good race ;3)
B) The playtime would depend on the players. As soon as I have enough we will agree on a date.
C) You can just pop in once and just see how the system is. It is not obligatory to stay longer.

I think I would be interested in playing. I've never used the Pathfinder system before. However I have been playing D&D for about 10 years, along with a couple other systems. I am already in a weekly in person D&D v3.5 game, and have lots of school work (I'm a computer science major), but I should be able to squeeze another game in.

I would also suggest looking at using Heroforge to manage character sheets. It is a free, excel based form that makes sheet management a breeze. I've used it with D&D v3.5 for a couple years now since some one showed it to me. I just checked and there is a Heroforge sheet for Pathfinder. Plus, it would allow players to send their character sheets to you very easily. Here is a link to their site. Plus they have a lot of other resources available.

Next I would suggest looking at a program called RPTools, here is a link. RPTools is a free & open source program set that makes playing Pencil & Paper RPGs easier to play online. Among its abilities is a dice roller that lets the GM monitor every ones dice rolls (so that solves the dice problem for you), it also has a shared map tool and a bunch of other abilities. Now I have not used RPTools personally, but I do know people that use it to play D&D with people online and they really like it.

Thanks for the input. I don't like to use digital character sheets, but that is a personal matter. If you want to use one then be my guest. :3
Also a beginner will be very confused by the tons of options (I mean, the sheet confuses me <.<). So for the start I would like keep things simple.
