Fucking Seahawks. you have the best rushing game in the league and you decide to pass in the last 30 seconds with two timeouts left and just inches from goal. What the fuck?

To be honest, I understand everyone's frustration. EVERYONE was expecting the rush. Not to mention, it was only second down. If it was third of fourth down or there was less time on the clock. Then yes, have Lynch pound the rock in.
The fact is, Carroll had time, timeouts and downs on his side. Because everyone was expecting the run, Carroll tried to go for the quick pass. If it was caught, we would be talking about how it was the greatest, most-gutsiest plays in Superbowl history. And all the analysts would be sitting there say how sometimes you need to go against the grain and that it was terrific call etc.
In the end, Carroll was playing based on stats. Lynch has been down on the goal line 5 times against a goal line defense and has only scored once. The fact that there was 20 seconds on the clock, he could have risked an incomplete pass. Drop the clock to about 8 seconds and put it on Lynch to pound it in and leave New England with a miracle Hail Mary to win it. That's assuming time doesn't run out on the kickoff.
I personally thought it was a good play call but Butler just made an incredible play. In the end you can't blame the game on that last play. Seattle gave up 14 points in the 4th quarter to give New England back the lead. Plus had that miracle catch not happen to even get them down to the 6 yard-line.
In the end, New England just made one more amazing play than Seattle did and Seahawk fans are looking for a scapegoat in either Carroll, Wilson, or Bevell.
But I'm sorry, that was one of the most exciting finishes to a Superbowl in a good long time. Something that has been missing in recent years.
