Argh.

Computer inking and coloring is turning out to be a thoroughly unrewarding experience right now. I dunno if it's the simmering depression I've been fighting over certain RL occurances that I don't really want to get into, or the possiblity that my tablet is improperly calibrated or what. I sit down and scan a pic into my computer, draw a few lines, and then get disgusted with the entire process and ragequit my art program.

What program are you using to ink?

GIMP. It's not the best program out there but it IS free. My tablet is a WACOM Bamboo Fun Pen&Touch (The larger of the Bamboo tablets)

I just picked up the pen version - touch has made me crazy.

If you're using Gimp, that probably means you're running Linux?  I recently tried Sai for the first time, and it is a Godsend.  It smooths lines as you draw, and won't take any pen jitters into account.  It...magic if you can run it on your pc.

I have a link if you can.

Windows actually. Anything you want to throw my way to help would be great.

I leave the touch function off. I have no reason to use it, except that the Touch is infamous for wearing though pen nibs, but I revert to the mouse and keyboard if I'm doing something not artsy.

Lemme pm you the link - you are going to LOVE this program.  Just make sure you have the wacom drivers installed for it to do the pressure sensitive thing also.

Oh, and you have to do me a favor in return...
