"Hello, my name is Doug, and I like you. My master made me this collar so that I-SQUIRREL!"
Yes, ladies and gentlemen and assorted others, this is what it is like for someone who lives with ADHD. I was diagnosed with being "hyper" when I was 4 years old. 34 years later, things aren't too much better. And unfortunately, it makes me look and feel bad.
I look bad because I know some of you like to role-play with me in notes or in IMs. Generally, I go home around 2 in the afternoon after a long exhausting day at work, spend my few precious minutes of remanning conscience left browsing messages on DA, FA, and IB, maybe get to look at some pictures, then thud! If that dastardly "squirrel" grabs my attention, everything else gets pushed aside, if not completely forgotten. it makes me look like I've completely blown you off...
And, this makes me feel bad because I do enjoy role-playing with folks, and admiring cute and expressive artworks, and reading about interesting events, especially from my closest dearest friends.
If you feel that I have blown you off from conversation, role-playing, art appreciation (including me thanking you for faving my submissions with hugs and balloons).... I'm sorry.... :_(
