People have been asking me lately what i think about the merger of FA and Furocity, and what could result of it.
Well in my opinion, I kinda see this as more of an assimulation than an actual merger. Think about it: for almost over a year, FA has been on a slippery slope to doom. They been hack a shiload of times, the site keeps breaking down because Yak is too lazy to fix the shitty coding, and users move out every day due to assholes doing the AUP. FA was on the verge of bitting the big one, that is until the site's head admin found out that the owner of Furocity wants to expand some. So he perposed a merger that would be benifical to both sites.
Or so that's what he wants people to believe...
One thing that everyone knows is that the owner of FA absolutely HATES other fur sites. In his mind, he believes FA should be the only furry site on the internet. Not even the chan sites are safe from the FA owner's seething envy! When he saw that his pride and joy FA was about to crash and burn, the owner started looking around for other sites he could sucker into a merger. I believe his true intent with Furocity is to live in peaceful co-existance with them for a bit, then swiftly buy them out so FA would not only obtain domain space; but also get a hold of Furocity's better servers and coding in order to save his site from dying. Little does he know that this can work in reverse too. Since the owner of Furocity is now the co-owner of FA, all that needs to be done is the owner of FA to put one too many toes over the line before his new partner has enough and buys out his share. Thereby causing FA to become extinct. Since the owner of FA has been own to make very crappy decisions when hiring on admins and making rules for the Aup that make no sense, I don't see this co-existence lasting for very much longer...
