You know what?

Nevermind. I changed my mind about the kiriban idea, I'm not going to do them For several reasons... Some of which I don't have to explain. (and if you STILL don't know what a kiriban is... Look it up)

One reason is that I already have enough on my plate as is, I don't want more than I can handle. I often have a horrible sense of obligation when I do things like this and it makes me feel pressured, and most times I rush it and screw up.

After theses commissions; yes I had them open but only if you would've asked, im done. I'm officially closed. Sorry if you wanted one. I'll reopen eventually, but only when I get things up to where I want them.

I'm sorry but I just realized, despite my wanting to be as social as possible, I need to start doing things for myself. I might still do gift art... But only if I feel like it and don't bitch about the results.

Be social, be friendly, and be intimately familiar with the word "no" :3

Draw my friend, draw what you like - cause if you liked drawing it, it's going to be sexy as hell.

That's why I do "drive by gift art", it's not an obligation if they don't know it's coming :0

Also, Robyn is way hot

What's a Kiriban?

I want free art! Don't screw it up! I'm very picky!

I can't do commissions anymore?! How awful of you! I can't believe this! It's an outrage!

I can't wait to catch your 70000!

=P Is not like you have an obligation to do them... is not good when art becomes a chore.

That's why I'm stopping. Because if it's there I will feel that way.

Also 'bitch about the results' on giftart? Someone did? D:
I hope not, I mean.. unless you draw something they're -against-, I see no reason to complain of giftart :c

Also, I hope to improve to bug you with a trade at some point =P

I'll admit that part is a bit exaggerated, but nonetheless it bugged me to this extent.

I wouldn't mind that : )

Well darn, but no worries, if you want to be more social with the people who look at your art just talk to them sometimes, I know I'm personally always open :D.

Well yeah, I talk with just about everyone who leaves a reply. It's not that... Uh I guess more like being a host of sorts.

Ah, well that's nice of you, I personally enjoy having a good conversation with the people who make it all. I don't think anyone can hold NOT having a kiriban against you.

My two cents?  Take it slow if you need to, but keep moving forward.  I came to a dead stop a few times and my life, and I'm regretting it now. If you need more time before you feel comfortable doing commissions, by all means take it easy.  But there have been two times I got cold feet in my art at the prospect of doing commissions/requests, and each time I it was nearly two years before I felt the confidence to really get back into it.

As an artist I find I'm rarely at the point where I feel complete satisfaction with my work.  Unfortunately I tend to equate 'unsatisfactory' with 'worthless' which isn't the case.  The most effective artists are the ones who think "I don't feel up to the challenge" and then say "but that's what challenges are for"  They will batter you down, and make you feel helpless, worthless, and ill prepared. But you survive. By the skin of your teeth, you survive.  And you grow.

I am frankly terrified by the prospect of fulfilling 4 sketch requests once my Naming Contest is done. But I'm still going to do it.  If I have to drag my muse through splintered glass and rusty nails, so be it.  I will temper myself in flames, and if I burn to ash, I will cast a brief but splendid light.  It will be spectacular, success or failure.  That it's spectacular is what matters.

Heh heh, you really got into the spirit huh?

Yeah, it's a good idea, I should challenge myself to be better. Best of luck to you and don't worry much into it. You're a good artist and you can handle a few silly sketches lol

It's a good idea to get situated in life. I think you're making a great decision, though I love your art, and would die for some, I want to see you happy and relaxed.
