USB ports dying one by one...

I'm down to the last usable USB port on this old computer. Can't afford a new one right now either, and if it goes "piff!" then I have no way of making art any more to share. I can still get online (via netbook) but my scanner is not compatable with it, too old.

Hopefully I can scare up spare parts or something from another old comp to get this one to limp along one more year...

Mine's an HP Pavillion desktop. It's about 8 years old now. I dug up another machine for dirt cheap and am transferring stuff over to it slowly. Eventually, though, I'm just going to buy a new HP six-core and peripherals to go with it. Already got a big 21 inch hd monitor.

Unless there is a hard drive compatibility issue, you should be able to plug the HD from your old one into your new one. Also, used to have one like that in 98. Processor burned out after a year, though, so I got to use it as a project before we could get another one. Most of what I know began from studying that thing..... ^_^
