America pisses Kirby off

In case anyone had doubts, this is related to my last journal.

America pisses Kirby off
http://www.gamerevolution.com/manifesto/happy-japanese...

; p
Distributors do those things, because it "appeals to American audience/gamers"
I wonder if there will come a time when American Kirby will grow massive facial hair or something ; p (now, that would be sort of funny)

It even has its own trope
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AmericanKir...
Go check the examples though, they are pretty ridiculous.

Also reminds me of old american megaman covers.

It's just one funny example of americanitis. I don't like it.
And yes, these things also happen in Europe, but it's all concentrated in America.

Dude seriously we get it you don't like America. Every nation has it faults america included. But the rest of us don't need to hear you up on a soap box pointing out the flaws. Just let things be that you can't control. I don't mean to be mean but honestly enough is enough.

Plenty of people seem to enjoy my rants, so I'm sorry to say, I guess the rants will keep going.
If no one would read and respond to what I write, I would probably not write or I would write something else. I happen to enjoy some ranting and some discussing.
" the rest of us don't need to hear you

Exactly, so stop reading my journals if you don't like them, duh. I write them for people who find them amusing.
No one is forcing you to read this, go write your own about some other topic, I'm not stopping you.

And it's not in my character to "just let things be" that I can't control, If the only thing which I can do abut it is rant, then rant I will. Well, unless it becomes too troublesome or something.

No skin off my back. I don't really care what you have to say i was just voicing my opinion as is my right.

Yes, I will respond with the typical response to such statements. If you wouldn't care then you wouldn't have commented in the first place.

Then why not put Europe on the same chopping block as you have America? Saying it's not as bad because there's not as much is like one rapist is a nicer guy because he had fewer victims.

Heck Europe "Aggressive looked" a game us in America didn't even get.

All I wish to know is there anything about, in, or from America that you find even remotely good? And Are you willing to try things from America before condemning them?

" Then why not put Europe on the same chopping block as you have America? Saying it's not as bad because there's not as much is like one rapist is a nicer guy because he had fewer victims.

There is nothing remotely related to rape in this journal, there is nothing valid in such a ridiculous comparison.
And I'm not discussing Europe because I'm flooded by angry American stuff, not by European stuff, duh. There is plenty to hate about Europe, I'm sure. If I will want to discuss European stuff I'll be sure to make a different rant about it. If you want you can make one yourself, I'm not stopping you, as a matter of fact I encourage you to do it if that's your wish, hell, make one about Japan, I don't mind.

There are always exceptions. There will be good exceptions in American stuff and bad exceptions in Japanese stuff. Point in case is, I like the typical cute Japanese stuff, rather than angry American stuff. Culture of violence?

Hmm.
The 911 Truther crowd are such a group of idiots, it's not even funny.
Total percentage in my opinion of Americans who actually take the time to have a mind of their own, maybe 30 or 40 percent, if we're lucky.
I find a lot of Americans to be too glued to media, and would follow it off a cliff.
Quite frankly, most of my fellow and (Female) Americans make me sick. They claim to know things they know nothing about, just because they saw it on TV.
For the fact that I find few Americans smart enough to slow down, do their own research on multiple things, and then have an opinion, many Americans piss me off, and I am one. (Quite Frankly, I would rather be pissed on) LOL. TMI.

So please, go on with your *Rants*, in many ways, and for many reasons, I like them. (Huggles)

Hum, I do prefer to be pissed on rather than pissed off, so I have to agree on this one XD
I don't have have anything against all Americans personally. I just don't like this sort of mindset/culture which I described. There is also bunch of it in Europe and I don't like that either. The problem is American pop-culture has a tendency to flood the markets all around the world.

Ahm the first one. (Pissing) Places foot forward, acts bashful, and then blushes. Unfortunately my roommate won't do it for me, but I would love to lay on a bed, plastic sheets, or no plastic sheets, if the room can be kept dry enough to dry fairly fast... and just have someone piss on my entire body. just warn be before too close to my eyes. but I will drink it.

Just gonna answer that other one in one primary place.
America doesn't need to be spreading all of it's crap onto others. This can be seen dating as far back, as some of the materials in my last journal. Harry Bloody Anslinger encouraged the whole world to have laws against it.
It was his entire career. AAhhhg!

My opinion there is, America needs to let other countries have what they have, in their way.
Unless it has something to do with the *Real* reason we invaded Iraq. Which the media pisses me off, (Sort to speak) that they really didn't make it very clear. Simply put... Saddam was looking into Plutonium and Uranium enhancing.
Don't stop him, let him make bombs? Or stop him?

;)

:D We are so alike in certain ways. *Huggles You*

Well think about it.  Would you want to go to America?  With Homeland Security, the naked scanners at the airport, republicans supplanting science with scripture, and everywhere you look there's the Westboro Baptist Church protesting...  I would be pretty pissed off too if shipped there.

This just in.  Japanese Pop-Culture Icon "Kirby" has been arrested and detained by Homeland Security on suspicion of terrorism.  He will be shipped to Guantanamo Bay where he will live out the remainder of his natural life, unless of course he inhales a real terrorist and gains his powers.  In which case, the pink puffball may escape incarceration and seek revenge on America using large iron "Looney-Toons" style bombs.

Up next, is public education brainwashing your children?  Fox News takes an exclusive look at how schools are teaching false ideas, and how one eighth-grader confronted her parents with the idea that the Earth may actually be older than six-thousand-years.

As somebody commented on that first link:
"I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass... and I'm all out of bubblegum."

Kirby is not Duke though. Although Duke is a funny fellow. But yeah, America is like a serious-played version of Duke.

Yeah, but still, in almost every Kirby game out there, there's usually something happening that is jeopardizing the peace of the cosmos.  I'd rather have my world savior be someone who takes this threat seriously than is all smiles and acting like this is nothing but some joy ride.

I find the Kirby who is smiling while he is enjoying genocidal vore and mayhem on a massive scale much more badass. It's like, a whole level of badass more. So I don't really agree with that sentiment.

My mom has it in spades!

When I showed her the covers of the JA/EU  and then the US versions of Ico, she said she liked the US one better, even in spite of my argument that the original art captures the theme of the game while the US version doesn't sends out the wrong message about what kind of game it is!

I doubt my mom will ever see this, but if she does; Mom, I love you, but people with minds like yours is why we have crappy box art here!
