and I are having a great time podcasting for you, and we hope you enjoy it, too! In the interest in making things more interest for everyone -- or even more interesting (!) -- we'd like to include you in our upcoming Nerdypaws #5 - Fandom Stereotypes.
We're going to be talking about the animal stereotypes as they exist in the fandom (ie. foxes are sluts) and how they correspond to or differ from animal stereotypes in culture, non-furry fiction, and lore/legend/mythos. So we'd like to ask, what animals would you like us to talk about? Even if you think it'll be covered, still leave a comment or PM me and suggest a species for us to talk about.
Got it? Good! We want your suggestions!
Finally, I mentioned this previously, but I got no responses, so here I go again: should we get our own e-mail/IB/FA account for the podcast? Or should we bide our time and wait for more listeners? You can leave that one in comments or PM me that, as well!
Hope you guys continue to enjoy listening as much as we enjoy making the 'cast.
Well the only one I really know of is Raccoons/Tanukis being thieves and liking shiney things. I know some anime and games that Tanukis and Raccoons are used to represent either suspicious looking characters, thieves like Sly Cooper or money lovers such as Tom Nook in Animal Crossing (always giving you a debt to pay off and always buying and selling stuff).
Foxes and Kitsunes are also known for being sly and mischievous, with good examples being Zorori, and think one of the villains/traitors in the Redwall books was a fox.
Hope I helped :P
