Just what it says on the tin. I would have rather spent some more downtime before barreling headlong back into them, but due to Murphy's Law pegging me in my already raw, bleeding ass, it's become a necessity. I am unfortunately in need of a root canal and currently have an abscess with an infection spreading into my jaw. I figured it would be fine, since I recently managed to get dental insurance... only to find that no endodontist within at least 50 miles that will accept it. Not even my regular dentist will accept it.
So I figured... okay, I'll just sign up for whatever plan my parents had, as they've had their dental work almost totally covered. ...Apparently you can't get any work done for 6-12 months. That is on top of playing 4 times as much as they do for the same damn plan.
Calling up the local medical school to see what they can do for me, but otherwise it looks like I'll have to foot the entire bill out of pocket, which is probably going to be somewhere between $800-1000. Even on antibiotics, I can't really survive another 6 months when I'm already swilling whiskey in my mouth every half hour to numb the pain. At that point the infection would probably seep into my brain and kill me or some shit, knowing my luck.
So yeah, after I figure out exactly how much I need, I'll be back open for business. Why couldn't my tooth decide to go all necrotic and shit while I was still covered by the really nice insurance?
