(Life Journal) Soul Thrashing Black Dentistry

by
*LIFE LESSON ALERT*

Don't wait to get your teef looked at.  I've been putting it off because I'm too proud to ask my relatives for money and I got hit with a hay maker when I went to visit today.  In an attempt to perpetuate the mid-west, redneck, "three teeth in my head" stereotype I'm going to have to get one of my teeth removed.  That alone isn't going to be very much, as far as medical expenses go, but for some reason I want to rebel against my roots (heh) and get it replaced, which is going to cost me quite a bit of money (about $3000 according to my dentist).

So I suppose I'm going to have to start begging people to take commissions from me so I can start preparing for the sphincter-destroying expense of an out-of-pocket, shiny new toof.

I guess I have to ask:  If I did offer cheapo commissions for my crappy doodles, who would buy one? D:

<rolls in circles>  Erf!!!  I'm all too familiar with that...  If I have spare cash here and there, I'll happily send it your way in exchange for doodles of toof-encouraging silliness.  <3

Ack! >_<; Isn't there some way you can get some health care coverage or something? Perhaps you can go through Seamar or something? =(

No health care, no dental, no nothing.  I have zero insurance whatsoever. :\

Seamar is made for people w/o insurances. =x

I am in literally the same boat. It's sad that I'm 22 and can count on my fingers how often I've been to the dentist. Right now I got one on my upper left and upper right that need to be removed, aside the fact I already had to get one on the bottom left a few years back. But I can't afford, my mom can't help, and I have -no- insurance or health care at all. It's fracking awful, especially the chronic halitosis that it's causing.

But my mouth and eyes -both- need to get fixed. Lack of moulah and health care is killing me.

*runs to brush teeth in bathroom*  I'm sorry to hear that.... My dentist just said I have some gingavitis but seems to be small, hopefully.  Well a friend in need, time to get your doodler ready. =p

I'm on Medicare, I feel your pain, probably quite literally. =( I have no health insurance, my job—even as a state employee—doesn't offer coverage anymore, and I couldn't afford it even if I wanted to.

I avoid all processed sugars and sodas if I can. If I can't, I'm usually thrashing around going "WHYYYYY" ... I know better than to eat candy, but sometimes the stupid inner kid in me bites it anyway... damn you, cavities!!

There's really no pain like it, it's excruciating and the only solution I ever found was to quaff cold water and brush my teeth furiously to remove the offending particles.

Being called "Derpy Hooves" is bad enough to get me whimpering in abject shame...

That's just being unfair.
