Dictionary.com
They decided to put up a full page advertisement for their “app” in front of their primary page. You go to dictionary.reference.com, suddenly you are greeted by it.
This alone is enough to piss me off, as many of you know, I hate advertisement with a passion, I think it is the bane of modern life, something that should be annihilated and ignored at every turn.
Worse however. I click the link to go past this advert, to go to the actual website and… it takes me back to the advert. Every single link except for the “acquire app” link, takes me back to the advert. This is utter bullshit, garbage, base stupidity of the highest order. I’m sure they will fix it eventually, but they essentially broke their own website, blocking anyone from using it.
