There are a lot of peeps who appreciate your situation and most likely have similar situations. I understand how frustrating it can be, being treated as a slave to produce free shit. Once you've cooled down/rested, try to remember that not everyone is an over demanding, unrealistic, asshat. Take your time, there are peeps who appreciate you and they'll wait.

Look I realize it can be grinding to come on here and see bunches of emails and messages harassing you and spreading rumors and what not but I hope you can remember that those trolls aren't the majority of people checking this journal everyday and seeing what's new. Most of us are just quietly sitting in the background, posting every now and then, and throwing you a donation every now and then. We are all happy to wait, because we know this game is gonna be something incredible. Hell, even the demos and beta versions that you have released so far are leaps above almost everything else out there. Take your time, we all know what it's like to have a life and remember there are people cheering you on. Maybe not publicly on these forums, but cheering you none the less.

I blame video games. In the old days, you'll play a game seven hours strait then die in the second to last level only to say "Oh well guess I'll have to start back at level one". Today if your character dies ten minutes after the last save point you whine and complain about having to go back and replay those last few minutes.

Ignore the trolls Listen to those of us who understand what you are going through and work on the game at your own pace keep your chin up and do what you need to do. then work on the game if you feel up to it. If not then just chill out and watch a movie or something. You can't be expected to get it all done in one day.

I'd say a lot of bad stuff has happened and most of them aren't so great. But there some good things that you can see for one you have a job to work at and get paid and most of your loyal fans are willing to wait for when the game finally is released and are willing to help you finacially. Point being is that sometimes you have to look at some of the small good things when given a mountain of bad things from idiots. Anyways I wish you luck on both the project and your struggles.

i have to say that the speed that you upload for new betas is alot faster then a full console/pc game (knows data sizes and programming is differernt) that has a team of 10+ people that make the game for a living not useing the free time they have and sharing it with the world for free.

Some people are assholes, Avalon. Some people are just born to be inconsiderate morons that never take into account how much work has gone into something that they are systematically tearing down because a small thing like taking your time to update it. People dont understand that its only you and a few others that are working on this great game, and to those people I say "Go fuck yourselfs!". Dont let the idiots of the Internet get you down, dude. Because there are people out there that dont mind waiting for an update, because we know it'll be almost bug free (Cause no matter how much time you spend on it between updates, there will be a bug somewhere), well animated and well put together.

Would I like an update to come today? Ofcourse I would, I love this game and it makes me grin. But I'm also not going to sit here and COMMAND you give an updated version of the game because I know your not ready too. Which alot of people just dont grasp. Keep up the great work, Avalon. No matter how long it takes.

Well I don't really have much to say avalon, it seems like things are becoming a bit stressful for you. I hope everything mellows out so you can relax and enjoy doing the things you like to do, whatever those things may be.

As for the game... no rush... I honestly waited one hole year for zeta and their team to release an update for their game, its no big deal, work on it at your own pace.

Also glad you have some support artists now, the game should turn out much better with their help.

You probably won't even read this, but listen:
As far as I know, you're a good person just trying to live their life.
Don't let people get to you, they don't deserve it and neither do you.
It's just a game, as far as I'm concerned take as long as you need to or want to on it and focus on what's more important.
You just have to shake it off and keep going at it.
I can't wait for the game, but you are more important, even if the game never gets finished (although I'm sure it will ;P).

If the players arent motivating (in the right way, that is) I really feel that its harder for the producers to update the game, not to mention all the crazy stuff Aval0nx has to deal with anyway. If people are patient and understand that this is only a hobby, I dont understand why they still whine. You really should think of a different Internet provider. nearly 100 US$ for just 4Mbps. Where I live there is enough competition that I just pay about 50 - 60 Euro for 6Mbps. that includes not only Internet-Flat, but also Telephone Flat and I can look cable-TV. (ok. just standart TV through Cable, but still its fast, because it is cable). Really. that is a ripoff.

First and foremost, as many have said, don't feel bad about the trolls and the people who dislike you, there are many who love your work (and the work of anyone else in your team for that matter) and the focus should really be on that. Personally i been lurking on your websites and playing your games since version .5, from what i could tell, you started this for fun, and now to me, it seems like people are making it seem like work to you.  Pressure from a fan base that wants a very good game and quickly, and pressure from your life is getting to you(you seem like a calm and sensible person, but you are angry right now, meaning it has gotten to you).  As countless others have said, We appreciate what your doing, and take the time for you need to get the game as you like it, and not rush it for the fans.  I rarely post on stuff like this(or ever), but if you need to take a break, a breather from the game and relax a few days, it is all good.  Its no use getting stressed out over something that you made for fun and for people to play, it will make your work abit sloppier(in general, the more stressed/angry you are, the more your work suffers)

And yeah internet is expensive, its funny if i were to take the cheapest internet where i am($99), it would be at most, 1 gig download a month, and about 1 mbps, for unlimited gigs it is $150 at the same 1 mgps still.  Idk where the people get off charging that but its life.   On the donations thing though, i can think maybe you get 100-150 per month from it, average(and even then i am thinking i am overshooting it).  I wish i could donate but i am out of a job also.

Your game is great though, i do enjoy your work.  I watch your page every day for an update, just so i can see if something comes up.  I do thank you and your team for the game, and the time and effort you put into it, but if you guys need to relax for a few days, take them off, your loyal fan base will understand.  Your final version will come out when it does, its no use working you guys into being sick of it and giving out something that's bad instead of you guys working on something that you enjoy and putting out something that is excellent.

Paws.ru is just full of trolls, I've looked over so much of that site purely for comedy, so much trolling can be amusing but you should never take that site to heart. Funny games... I've never been on the forums and stuff but from what I gather on the rest of it, it's just a bunch of trolls yet again. Just look at the amount of support you get in each update, be it picture, game, journal or whatever!

Ban the trolls and they troll even harder but so what? The people you should be focusing on aren't them, ignore them and they'll shut the fuck up or become the troll who cried rape, but us, the ones who actually support you and are patient enough to wait for the game to come out of it's own accord!

Yea, I was like at first "4 mbps, thats shit!" then I remembered you hail from bermuda then I realized "yea thats about right".

And as for donation milking, trust me, I seen what donation milking looks like, this aint it. And hell, even if you WERE (not saying you are), its still going to pay for internet and project related expenses.

Life is being rough on all of us. Best I can suggest is to block those who grief you and friend those who support you. Because now adays, support is something hard to come by.

As for the subject of updates, I'm still playing the current version trying to unlock everything so I'm conent personally with whats here now. Would I like to see a Tails scene (as hinted by everyone)? Sure. Am I going to grief and nag til its out? nah.

And to those who DO grief and complain, it seems youre not satisfied with anything. If avalon dont release in weekly updates, you get mad. If avalon releases a bad product because YOU rushed it, youre mad. Why dont you all stop jerking your cocks and learn scripting so you can make your own game with your own deadlines and to your tastes. Otherwise, shut up and enjoy the ride.

First off, I want to say 'Ouch!' about your internet bill. I have 30mbps cable with no bandwidth limit and only pay $30 a month. I think I would go without the internet if it was that much lol!

Now, on to your journal. This is the reason I normally keep quiet. I might, from time to time, post a reply that says how much I enjoy the game, however; other than that, I don't respond. The reason being, I can wait. I have always lived under the principal that 'Good things come to those whom wait'. I completely understand everything that you are going through (trust me, I've been there on 90% of it). One of the things you have to attempt is figuring out a way to relieve some stress. Something away from your work and even away from the game and drawing and everything else completely. Something that you can enjoy without having to worry about the entire world. It could be tv, video games, golf etc etc etc. If you don't find something, you are going to end up losing your sanity *points to the journal above* and your health and well-being is more important that any game, drawing, troll, donatee, etc etc. Anyways, I wish the best for you man.

Aval0n, i enjoy the work your dong and like most of your other followers would say take your time it doesn't matter when you finish.

On that note. Like most other people here it is frustrating to wait sometimes 9-10 days for an update (by update i mean just a "hey i am alive" post from you : D ), but thats just because anticipation is high. Unlike some of your followers i realize that most people can't make a living in this type of industry which is why no one should be sending you any sort of demanding messages to finish lol. But i would suggest them to find other means to get their fur on.

That being said, anyone who needs constant updates 24x7 for their furry game may want to consider visiting WWW.HTHSTUDIOS.COM in the mean time. Most of everyone whos into this will most likely have a ball there. CrowChild is back from his 3-4 year hiatus and is working full speed. Unlike Aval0n this guy actually does this for a living so updates are pretty much hourly. So if you need your fix and CBG isn't updated yet. You might want to consider supporting him as well as updating his game is his job.

I agree with some of the people here who have said that they would donate. I want to donate but my funds just suck. About a month ago my cable and internet were shut off...two days ago my electric got shut off...I have paid my rent late for the last 3 month...my wife and I haven't been on a date in 3 years because it costs to much to go out plus the fact that we have no one to babysit...we drive a car from 1993 that barely takes us to work...I make about 450-600 a month working a part time job because we can't afford daycare...I pay 330 a month in child support which is roughly 60-75% of my paycheck...on top of that an online cash checking service is telling me if my wife doesn't pay 580 by the 24th they will be sending the sherrif with paperwork for her to appear in court. So yeah I completely understand about how hard it is trying to make a game while working and trying to pay bills and living your own life. But I for one have always appreciated what you have done in the time you have.

Hey, man, don't get upset about what trolls say. Now that they know how much you hate questions about the game, they're probably going to ask twice as many just to get a reaction. Also, realize that most of the questions come from new watchers or even people new to IB in the first place who are just finding their way around. Be patient with them. Some of them may even end up as your biggest supporters for all you know.

Also, if I had an income, I would definitely donate - this game is more than worth the money. Keep up the good work. And regarding the hacked versions appearing on other sites - I personally have downloaded both the hacked and original versions and play them both, just about equally - hacked when I'm just horny and want a good sex scene, and original when I actually want to earn it. Both versions serve their purposes.

Just lighten up - yeah, your job sucks, but then, most people's jobs suck. Very rare is the person who is able to do what he truly wants. It's not worth screaming about to the people who support your hobbies. People here and elsewhere care hugely about what you're doing, even when it's not directly related to this game.

I think you are a great artist and if those people can't wait for the game or any updates that you decide to post then that is thier problem and if you decide to post anything I'm sure that those assholes will probly eat thier words

First - Great work with game been there since the 2nd release.
Second - My buddy invented a great little program type ip of
assh....oops meant troll flood said ip with porn/porn ads and a lot of s***.
To bad the guy move away before giving me it.DAMN

Avalon dont listen to the jerks. Take all the time you need with the game mate. You should NEVER prioritise(did i get that word right o.o) the game before your own life. Work on the game when you really feel that you have time and when you want to. Take things easy and do it your way.

Dude, most of us (The intelligent ones) acknowledge and realize how much work you're putting into this and appreciate this so much. I can't wait for the game, I really love your work. have to give you some big prop's on that post. So many people flame some one who is doing a hobby, glad you laid into them for it. Sadly some won't even bother to read it and forget that behind everything is a normal person. Also the fact that even though you are so pissed off at the trolls that you are still working on the game and not getting to disheartened. If i had any skills in coding or art i would have loved to give you a hand.

Dude, 100 bucks a month for internet? You SHOULD be pissed off! Why don't you use Internet via Satellite via mobile phone connected to pc, I heard from a buddy who does that that it's actually even faster and cheaper and not as complicated as it sounds.

*hugs aval0nx* dude... sad truth about the net is that those that have no complaints, and support you fully often act as a silent majority... I fall into that category. Like others have said, we understand, we really do... and know that this is something that we should be grateful for that will come out in it's own due time. Eh, the only words of wisdom I can share is to ignore em. They will always complain cause they always have, and that is the way the world is. Not everyone has a life, so they fill that time with pissing you off. Look on the bright side, your important enough to be the target of the lifeless complaints, lol. Hey Avalon, a few things that may help.

1. Don't feed the trolls.

This is what they live for. Negative attention and signs that they've "won." Which ironically leads to...

2. If you're getting hate, you're doing something right

Keep this in mind. The more people that try to harass you, that's actually proof that you're doing good work, or are at least on the right track.

3. If they want it so badly, they can pay for it or do it themselves

As you said, this is a hobby, and you don't have to justify any of it to anyone. If they want their porn fix faster they can draw and code or commission it.

4. We like updates, and we like talking with you

Don't let the people who are trying to bother you spoil your fun and ours. Eat, sleep, work, clean your house, post an occasional "hi" and an update if you've got something on the drawing board.

5. Let US deal with the trolls

We're better equipped since we don't have a stake in it. That pro troll on Paws.ru hasn't had much to say since he stuck his foot in his mouth and we pointed it out to him.

and finally:

6. Being a legend can suck, but it can also be awesome

Maybe it's accidental legendhood, but you have it right now. Keep positive and keep the experience positive.

A lot of people don't seem to understand how donations seem to work. On Paws I attempted to explain to an idiot about how donations + paying internet bill = production time. Hopefully they get the point but I'm not banking on it.

Hey, at least it's not like Crowchild. His donation feature is asking for $1500 a month, otherwise he won't have enough to pay for his Studio/Rent.

The main problem is I don't think the people on Pawsru or Funny Games are old enough to understand what paying bills are and such. I personally work 20-40 Hour work weeks and still barely make even. Taxes are a bitch, and you live in a place where certain utilities cost an astronomical amount. Not a single one of these fuckers pays $100 for JUST internet.

It just makes sense though.

More Donations = Less time at work = More time in production.

Simple as that.
