If you follow me on twitter, you will have seen this already, but...

I umm.. I just went to sit on the couch, and i stepped on a certain floorboard which has always been kinda creaky and... and then my foot went through the floor. And i fell into a hole that went up past my knee, and my leg got stuck in it.
All the skin of my leg got scratched and slashed open and im bleeding in a few places all up my calf and knee and thigh, mostly down the back of my calf, and i smacked the back of my head on the coffee table - bit of a bump there..

And.. and now theres a f**king hole in the floor, about 5 inches wide and 18 inches long. I've covered it up with a rug and some wood, and called the landlord... but jeez.

Edit: Here's a photo of the hole... my leg is a fair bit wider than this hole is, which is part of why it hurt so f**king much. >_<   http://lockerz.com/s/110881567

I need to wash these cuts and disinfect them, but they're pretty minor scratches really. Already stopped bleeding. Huge shock though, wow....

...so, er.. how was your evening?

Ow... sorry for the pains. Make sure you don't get dizzy or nothing from your head and don't get infected or you might lose your leg. Eeeek! *digi-hugs* Hope you feel better soon.

Aww sorry to hear you hurt yourself. You know as a big guy myself I've noticed no one seems to draw or talk about stuff like this in furry. Being big or huge is always just sunshine and rainbows, no one wants to acknowledge the drawbacks or difficulties. Though in situations like this I guess it does help to chuckle

I can totally look back on it and laugh now =) I mean my weight might have contributed to the accident a little but, but it also saved me from falling into it a lot deeper - cuz the hole is way narrower than my leg x3

btw where the F*ck is the subfloor? I bet your landlord installed that flooring himself without permits and not up to code. If he wants to give you a hard time/ run around about fixing it ask about that and mention the county inspector and housing authority.

Oh, its nothing like that, this is the original floor of the house from the 1960s. It's quite common and accepted in these parts - most "Queenslander" style houses have this simple timber floor supported by perpendicular beams underneath. The gap you see in the photo is as big as the hole could possibly have gotten - at either end of it is where the supporting beams are, and these floorboards are each about 16 feet long. Its just that this one here had a large crack in it that has slowly gotten worse over time because i keep stepping on it x3
