Question to those shading without a tablet

Do you got like any hints or stuff?
I really can't use any of the many tablet tutorials out there with a mouse.
It doesn't usually end up that well.
And I really don't like doing cel shading which is the best for a mouse so yeahhhhhh >_>
I really want to improve my coloring but is not going so well.

hmm, not much concerning the mouse, but I was given a couple of lighting image tips from

Aixen

and

Aogami

which you don't need a tablet for.

for the mouse i would have to say make good use of your opacity levels, how dark or light the color will appear. It acts as though you are pressing light or hard on paper in order to get the different tones
