Last sunday at around noon (European Time) I was exactly one third of a century old.

Can you calculate my exact birthday from this info?

First one that manages gets 1 free doodle (single character sketch)

And here you thought you'd never need math again XD

EDIT: Since people wanted to know how I calculated here is the solution.

I was born on 30. May 1980.

This means 100 years later is the 30. May of 2080

This means there are 36525 days inbetween.

1/3 of that is 12175

If we add those to my original date it becomes:

29. Sept 2013

Now reverse calculating is a bit tricker. Easiest would be a rough guess and then do the calculation above with all dates in range till you find the correct one.

September 20th?

September 20th?

Nope.

On Sept. 29th 2013 I was 33 1/3 of a century old.

Only 9 days before that is a little close to that date ^^

I remember my first two "record" birthdays. I have about 2½ years before my third one. But then I'll need a special *spider* to play that day. ;)

Sorry I don't know that one. Is that a throwing disc?

That is an insert for playing a 45 on a regular turntable. Most old 45s had the large hole rather than the small one. I expect a well hung donkey was involved. :P

the big question is, is the one/third of the year four months, seventeen weeks two and a third days, or 121 2/3 days?

four months is 5/29/1980. in weeks, it's...~5/30/1980, and in days, it's...yea, ~5/31/1980.

sorry, math geekery abounds with me.

Well I said one third of a century. So it would have to take into consideration the whole century (with leap years and such).

Then I also said exactly which implies that it was calculated in days.

So I dunno why you get 31 for days (I used days to calculate) but it's the 30th. And someone via PM was a bit quicker than you.

Technically I never said you could only guess once but the other person also made a second guess so I think I will give you both a present by drawing you together ^^

Send me a PM with a character of your choice.

*twilight zone music* would you believe I had this exact discussion with a friend from work a few weeks back o.O

we both turn 33 next year 1 day apart and got onto 1/3 of a century discussions.

Congratulations BTW! *wags tail* lol I didn't even read the other messages before I grabbed my desk calendar and worked it out. Luckily you said at exactly midday so I knew to ditch another day. I may actually use this in class next year XD

Hmmm.. maybe your birthday was actually on that day? Doing the calculus, if I did them right, you were born on Sept 29th 1980.
