few people here in the United States would immediately recognize the name. but he is responsible for names we all know. this man turned Nintendo, a humble trading card company, into a gaming giant. he ran the company from 1949 until 2002. Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Starfox, every piece of hardware and software that bears the Nintendo logo, right up to the gamecube, and at by that point, beyond, would not exist if not for him. he shaped an industry, and shaped our childhoods and imaginations. he died today at the age of 85.
