Having known them for seven years, I know it's basically useless to try and reason with them. They refuse to reason with others who even HINT that something is wrong with the family. He's been doing great now that his folks can't bother him much anymore. Most of his severe tremors from anxiety have gone away and he's slowly gaining confidence again.
As for his parents, in all honesty i do not care what happens to their future business. Multiple times my boyfriend and I have tried to make amends, but all they do is make demands for him to come home and nothing else. It's like if my words don't even register to them.

Sadly enough despite how many weeks have gone by he still has his parents on his ass always calling him, only to bring him down. They have ruined many dates we had by just keeping my boyfriend too hurt. So we just tend to spend more time at home now more than anything. Only silver lining is that he's slowly ignoring their calls but it's still hard for him to do so.

Boyfriend got kicked out of his house shortly after new year's so it was a challenge to try and get his car and phone back from his folks. So it was a fact of me being some emotional support for him whenever I could, and it's really only recently that his grandparents let him stay at their place, that he got a good stable job at a warehouse, and that he got his car and phone back.
